COMMUNICATIONS EMITTER SENSING AND ATTACKING SYSTEM II (CESAS II)

Description

The Communication Emitter Sensing and Attacking System (CESAS) II is a ground mobile electronic attack (EA) asset and provides the MAGTF Commander with the ability to degrade, disrupt and deny threat communications.

Operational Impact

CESAS II provides the MAGTF with an organic ground system to degrade, disrupt and deny enemy communications during Expeditionary Maneuver warfare. CESAS II is a force multiplier that enhances the MAGTF’s ability to conduct Information Warfare.

Program Status

IOC was achieved in Jul 2016 with the delivery of four systems to a Radio Battalion and assigned maintenance personnel and operators receiving initial training. FOC is planned for FY21 with the fielding of the remaining CESAS II systems to all three Radio Battalions.
